GREG PERGAMENT
ABOUT ME
My pieces represent and incorporate iconic images from my youth as well as style and techniques that I have picked up while traveling in the last few years, in Italy and Mexico, specifically.
I use mixed media with a heavy influence of graffiti, often iconic characters are juxtaposed within the painting to provide an environment outside of where they would normally be found. I have developed a signature pop art style flower that shows up in each of my pieces, playfully interacting with the subject(s).
Growing up in NY heavily influenced my style with exposure to 70s and 80s graffiti, as well as frequent visits to the NY Museum of Modern Art. Artists ranging from Haring, Pollack, Warhol and Lichtenstein, to COPE, SEEN and CYCLE have played a role in shaping my art.
I currently reside in Kenmore, WA with my wife, Heather. I also have two grown children, Olivia and Max.

EXHIBITS
For the past year I’ve been the resident artist at Retrofit Home on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
Recently, I’ve received several commission requests for my work. Customers have come from not only the local area, but also as far as NY and Canada.
My work was also a part of an arts and culture event in Seattle called Mongo Been Bonk.
https://www.mongobeanbonk.com/ This event raised funds and awareness for Mary’s Place. A local women’s shelter.
I was also a finalist in “Let’s Beautify This”, an arts event sponsored by the Arts of Kenmore.
My art has been shown several times at different locations during the Capital Hill Art Walk in Seattle.
Additionally, I donated a piece to the Ekphrastic art auction to help support the Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas.
My work has been on display at numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the Seattle area over the past several years.
In February 2024, I had my first out-of-state showing in Palm Desert, CA, at Flat Black Gallery.
Shows, continued.
